Meeting between Isak Froumin and the Delegation from the University of Erfurt, Germany
On February 18th Isak Froumin, Academic Supervisor of the HSE Institute for the Development of Education, met with a delegation from the University of Erfurt, Germany, at the HSE.
The German team was represented by Ditmar Herz, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Government of Thuringen, Germany, and Professor at the School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt, Dr. Rupert Antes, Director of Franz Haniel Foundation, and Silke Adamiza, Programme Coordinator for Central and East European Countries at the University of Erfurt.
On the Russian side, Boris Zhelezov, Deputy Vice Rector for International Cooperation, Roman Kotov, Director of the Centre for International Educational Programmes, and Elena Nagibina, Head of the Department of International Educational Programmes Coordination, participated in the meeting.
During the meeting the two groups discussed future developments in the area of international educational programmes in English, which are of mutual interest. As a first step, it was decided to hold an International Spring School at the HSE entitled ‘Public Policy and Transformation'on March 22nd - April 2nd, 2010. This School will be run by the Centre for International Educational Programmes together with HSE faculties and the School of Public Policy of the University of Erfurt, with the financial support of the Franz Haniel Foundation.
