Education news at HSE University

HSE University has placed 5th in the annual ranking of the best Russian universities compiled by the RAEX agency (RAEX Analytics). The university also came in third in terms of demand for graduates.

applications from 15 countries and 151 cities have been submitted for the 2019 Сompetition of Innovations in Education, which is a 20% more than last year. This time, the three most popular categories were Continuing Education and Training (238 applications), School Education (218), and Gaming and Interactive Technologies (126).

Makar Stetsenko, an alumnus of the ‘Applied Mathematics and Information Science’ programme (2017), now works at Silicon Valley Insight developing digital products. The department is being created in collaboration with the Institute of Geography at the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and will focus on problems of geoinformatics, climate change and socio-economic development. The department’s first educational programme in geography at HSE may open in 2020.
